Dissolution

Dissolution

A dissolution is peaceful, civilized way of ending a marriage that is available in the courts of Ohio. In a dissolution, the marital separation agreement is entered into and executed prior to its filing with the court, so that the court proceeding itself is very simple and requires only one court hearing. A dissolution is available even when there are children of the marriage, and even for long term marriages. The typical dissolution is completed within about 60 to 90 days, and generally attorney costs are lower than for a divorce filing. The attorney can only represent one of the parties, but it is not required that the unrepresented party obtain counsel.

Mr. Priestap has successfully completed hundreds of dissolution cases.
